developments at Dortmund’s Harbour Quarter progressed quickly in the year 2017. Infrastructure measures are well under way and the fi rst properties have been successfully placed on the market, with more to follow this year. Last year Dortmund’s office market achieved 88,000 m² take up of space. Around 60 % of the take up was along the Office Boulevard B1 and in the city centre. So Dortmund’s office market is still dynamic and moving at a consistently high level.
Dortmund is heading “northwards”! Some of the city’s development hotspots – such as the Harbour Quarter, the sites at Hansa Nord or the North Side area next to the main railway station – are in the northern part of the city and are
important components of Dortmund’s urban development strategy. They will all be presented to a broad public in the context of this year’s presentation of the “nordwärts”(northwards) project.
